Envest-backed TLI Underwriting is set to launch 31st August, aiming to address an opportunity in the intermediated heavy motor fleet market.

The agency will be led by Managing Director Pat Miller, with Luke Sellars appointed as Head of Underwriting. Mr Miller is a former CEO of PSC’s Australian and UK broking operations, while Mr Sellars was most recently Queensland manager for GT Insurance.

“There’s a clear gap in the market when it comes to providing dedicated service and support to brokers servicing heavy motor fleet operators,” Mr Miller said.

“TLI Underwriting is here to fill that gap with a comprehensive, BHSI-backed insurance program that delivers real value to fleet businesses.”

TLI says its launch marks a “significant step” in enhancing insurance offerings for the transport and logistics industry, and it places a strong emphasis on service, risk management, and long-term partnerships.

Envest will own a majority stake in the agency, which will operate as an authorised representative of heavy motor specialist ATL Insurance Group. ATL is also owned by Envest.

“While ATL continues to focus on SME transport owner-operators, TLI allows us to broaden our reach and better serve the larger fleet segment with specialised products and underwriting expertise,” Richard Heilig as CEO Envest Agencies said.
