Aviso Specialty provide specialist insurance broking and risk advisory services for commercial, corporate and industry clients.

CEO Travis Kemp said the merger had been completed with a focus on bringing the best broking talent together with a defined go-to-market strategy.

“There has been a lot of work behind the scenes to get us to this point and we want to thank everyone for their support and loyalty. It is from strong foundations that we will build a new, integrated local brokerage, with global market access,” Mr Kemp said.

Aviso Specialty has 140 staff and office locations in, Melbourne, Glen Waverley (Head Office), Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin, Sydney and Perth, with additional locations planned for the next 12 months.

Guided by a leadership team with a clear vision for the future, Chief Broking Officer Stuart Munro said, “Our greatest asset is our people, and their strong market relationships. Our team is composed of some of the most talented and dedicated insurance professionals in the industry. With a diverse range of backgrounds and specialties, our experts bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion to every market and client interaction.”

Aviso Specialty Chairman Barry Fitzpatrick said the new business was a successful merger of the best of local broking with risk advisory and specialty broking services.

“When we founded Aviso Group with Envest, we always envisioned a local broker service with global reach and clout,” Mr Fitzpatrick said.

“We can now put our hand on heart and deliver on that promise with Aviso Specialty.”

Aviso Specialty is backed by Envest, a diversified Australian insurance group owned by The Ardonagh Group.

The Envest Group has a combined GWP (Gross Written Premium) of $2.1bn in Australia, and its global counterpart, The Ardonagh Group is a world-leading independent insurance distribution platform, placing $15bn GWP ($USD) annually.
